Mode of Operation

The operation of Warasse, your crowdfunding platform, is based on a simple and transparent structure that enables project owners to raise funds and investors to support initiatives they care about.

 

1. Registration and Account Creation

  1. User Registration:
     
    • Anyone wishing to use the platform must register by providing valid information (name, email address, phone number, etc.).
    • Email verification is conducted to validate the registration.
  2. User Categories:
     
    • Project Owners are Individuals or entities who create and launch fundraising campaigns.
    • Investors are Individuals or entities who support projects by contributing funds.

 

2. Campaign Creation and Management

  1. Creating a Campaign:
     
    • Project owners must submit a detailed description of their initiative, including  business plan, objectives, budget, and deadlines.
    • Visual elements (images, videos) can be added to enhance the presentation.
  2. Campaign Approval:
     
    • All campaigns are reviewed by the Warasse team to ensure compliance with the platform internal rules before being approved and published.
  3. Campaign Duration:
     
    • Project Owners determine the duration during which their campaign will be active.
  4. Monitoring Contributions:
     
    • A dashboard is provided to track the funds raised and the progress of the campaign in real-time.

 

3. Supporting Projects

  1. Exploring Campaigns:
     
    • Investors can browse available campaigns by category or using search filters.
  2. Making Contributions:
     
    • Once a project is selected, Investors can provide funds (donation, equity, lending, etc.) through the available payment methods (credit cards, mobile money, bank transfers).
    • Transactions are secured through trusted payment partners.
  3. Investor Engagement:
     
    • Investors receive confirmation of their participation and can leave messages or encourage the project owners.

 

4. Use of Funds

  1. Funds Release:
     
    • Once a campaign is successful (goal achieved), the funds are transferred to the project owner after deducting Warasse’s service fees.
    • If the campaign fails (goal not achieved), investors may, depending on the refund policy, receive a full or partial refund.
  2. Monitoring and Reporting:
     
    • Project owners are required to provide regular updates on the progress of their initiative to ensure transparency.

 

5. Fees and Commissions

  • Warasse applies a commission on the funds raised to cover the platform management and maintenance costs.
  • Fee details are communicated prior to the creation of each campaign.
